L is for Love

L is for Love

I had run out of my Grunge Paste a little while back, so after seeing lots of recipes on Pinterest, I decided to make my own -

1 tablespoon Gesso
1 tablespoon PVA glue
1/4 cup medicated foot powder!! (got to laugh, it was the only powder we had in the house, going rusty around the base of the container too!)

Mixed it all together and added a little purple paint - voila !

I then used it through my heart stencils - seemed to be the right consistency, will just have to see if it flakes off and how long the rest of it lasts in my sealed container.

  7. Love that you made your own texture paste! It doesn't have to be medicated foot powder, I take it, LOL! Good that you can use something that's way past its sell-by date from the sound of it! Great results - and nicely coloured!

  9. Medicated foot powder! Brilliant! I do love a good random recipe, must try it sometime as I don't have any grunge paste. Your page is really pretty and the text integrates beautifully with the rest of the page. Lou x

  11. I love how you took on the texture paste and created your own. I have a similar recipe, but it doesn't include foot powder (grin). Nothing like using what you have. The color is wonderful, and so is the LOVE I'm feeling for this latest letter.

  12. Fun and bright page! Spritz a bit of water on your DIY paste before closing the pot. I made some with talc and it eventually dried in a lump!
