Joy

Whilst browsing through my Craft Stamper magazine, I realised that I hadn't even used the free stamp on the front - yikes - I loved some of the samples made in the magazine using the stamp, so I thought lets give it a go.....

....so, this was the final picture, made in my journal with the beautiful Visible Image free flower stamp. I love the stencil at the bottom that I have sort of made into a bridge, its really a very large circle on my favourite (and only) stencil girl stencil - I think it has a little ''Monet Waterlily' look about it, but that could be just me? Anyway out came my trusty homemade texture paste again...

Rain, Rain Go Away

So as I post this picture, I have just been told that the next 10 days will be dry - no complaining about that - except that we have just had some turf laid and life is much easier if the grass is watered naturally rather than by me standing there with a hose, lol.
No matter, I'm not going to wish for rain, but I am considering that my picture has magical rain spurning powers!!

I made a little rain droplet stencil out of paper using my fantastic Gyro Cut tool (love that tool) and used my new texture paste I made a few weeks ago - every time I open the pot a very strong smell of talcum powder wafts round the room - haven't decided whether I like it or not yet, it's quite over-powering!! That will teach me to use foot talcum powder in my texture paste recipe !!
I then added Glossy Accents on the top of each droplet so it would look shiny, as you can see below...

.....the only problem is that the rain seems to falling through the umbrella - whoops, didn't think about that, how annoying I thought, but I guess it was a learning process and I wasn't prepared to try and scrape the droplets off!

No Place Like Home

After receiving some birthday vouchers for That's Crafty craft shop, I whizzed on over there for the first time to spend them this weekend. What a lovely shop, with very helpful staff, they've managed to fit so much in! Lots of lovely craft products, I always seem to gravitate towards the stencils!

Well, I managed to get some gorgeously, exciting things and not surprisingly spend over my voucher - how does that always happen!

As soon as I got home, I started playing in my art journal using this Stampendous House stamp and a Stencilgirl stencil that I had just bought.

Seeing as a lot of the products I have used in this page came from That's Crafty - paint, stencils and stamps - I thought it only fitting that I entered it into their challenge this month.

Over at Craftstamper - they have an 'Anything goes', as long as it has a stamp on it theme
